Creating an assistant
Pick a template, name it, then shape what it says and how it behaves.
- 1Choose a template: Customer Support, Lead Qualifier, Appointment Scheduler, Doctor or Clinic, Restaurant Reservation, Info Collector, or Blank.
- 2Give the assistant a name and, optionally, a phone number, and fill in anything the template asks for, such as a support email, transfer number, business name or available time slots.
- 3The assistant is created as a draft. Open it to set its first message (what it says when it answers) and its instructions (how it should behave and what it must not do).
- 4Choose a voice, upload the documents it should answer from, and test it in your browser.
The template decides which actions the assistant can take, such as booking an appointment or looking up a record, and which details it saves at the end of each call.
Tip
Keep the first message short. Callers decide in the first few seconds whether they are going to talk to it.
