How do flows work?

Questions, the answers each one listens for, and the branch each answer takes.

A flow is your script turned into steps. Each step is a question, an action, or an end.

  • Each question lists the answers it listens for, with example phrases for each one, and where each answer leads.
  • An answer can also carry a result tag, such as "qualified", and the dialer status to set if the call ends there.
  • An end step says what happens last: transfer, do-not-call, did-not-qualify, callback or hang up.

Reusing work

Shared questions live in a library. Improving the answers a shared question understands improves every flow that uses it. Ready-made flows can be copied from the flow library as a starting point. Flows can be grouped by category and filtered by status, category, voice or name.

Render, then publish

The bot's lines are recorded ahead of time, never generated during a call. After editing a flow, click Render to record the changed lines, then Publish. Live calls always use the published version.

Lines can include a timed pause, and can speak the caller's state, worked out from their area code, with a fallback phrase when it is unknown.

Note
If your workspace has AI drafting turned on, you can paste a script and get a draft flow to review. The draft is saved unpublished, and nothing goes live until a person has checked it.
