Adding the chatbot to your website
Publish the bot, copy one line of code, and paste it into your site.
- 1Give the chatbot instructions or at least one knowledge source, then publish it.
- 2Open the embed options and copy the snippet. There is a plain script tag and a version for React sites.
- 3Paste the snippet into your site's HTML, just before the closing </body> tag, on every page where the chat should appear.
- 4Add your website under allowed domains. See limiting the chatbot to your domains.
The chat button appears in the corner of the page. Conversations carry on if the visitor reloads the page or moves to another page on the same site.
Note
Each snippet contains a key that is valid for one year. Generate a new snippet before then and replace the old one on your site.
