How does the chatbot decide what to say?
It answers from your sources, and asks for clarification instead of guessing.
When a visitor asks a question, the chatbot searches your knowledge sources and answers from what it finds. Replies appear word by word as they are written, so visitors are not left waiting.
- By default it only answers from your sources, not from general knowledge.
- If nothing in your sources is a close enough match, it asks the visitor to rephrase or offers related questions rather than guessing.
- Greetings and thank-yous are answered straight away.
Tip
If the chatbot keeps asking visitors to clarify the same kind of question, the answer probably is not in your sources yet. Add it as an FAQ.
